In the second quarter of 2024, the fast food and fast casual restaurant industry saw varied user engagement and download trends for their iOS apps in the US. Here's a snapshot of how the top apps performed, with data courtesy of Sensor Tower.
McDonald’s - Non-US experienced a fluctuating trend in downloads, starting at around 2.5K in the first week of April and peaking at nearly 4K by the end of May. Weekly active users showed an upward trend, beginning at 46K and reaching a high of over 60K in mid-June.
For JOE & THE JUICE, downloads varied, with a notable spike to 4K in the first week of June, compared to around 1K at the start of April. Active users saw a significant jump, doubling from 1.3K to 3.5K in the same week.
Burger King Danmark showed consistent download numbers, hovering around 1.6K to 1.7K, with a notable increase to 2.7K in early June. Unfortunately, data on weekly active users was not available for this period.
Espresso House also saw a mixed trend in downloads, with figures ranging from 963 to 1.7K throughout the quarter. Active users were relatively steady, maintaining a range between 15K and 17.5K.
Lastly, McDonald’s Germany had relatively lower download numbers, with an average of around 200 per week, and a peak at 275 in mid-June. Weekly active users showed a slight upward trend, starting at 2.6K and ending the quarter at around 2.7K.
